Huntington Beach City School District Announces Director of Food Services

Huntington Beach City School District (HBCSD) announces the addition of Ms. Ashlin Connolly as the Director of Food Services. 

Ms. Connolly has eight years of experience in the food industry, serving in a variety of roles including Nutrition Care Manager in a senior living community and Assistant Director of Dietetics with the California Department of Veterans Affairs.

Most recently, Ms. Connolly has been with Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District as the Nutrition Services Operations Supervisor responsible for all aspects of food safety compliance and adhering to policies and procedures for all district schools, as well as managing food menu development that meets nutrition standards and requirements. Her vast experience includes overseeing personnel management, department training and development programs, and ensuring compliance related to nutrition services.

Mrs. Jenny Delgado, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, said, “Ashlin has made a positive impact in her previous food service roles. I am excited that she is bringing that expertise to benefit the students and staff of HBCSD.”

Ms. Connolly obtained her Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Central Michigan University and her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science from California State University, Northridge. Ms. Connolly will officially join the HBCSD team on August 3, 2022.
