Organized by a dedicated team of parent volunteers and the associated student body (ASB), the festival transformed the school gym into a vibrant showcase of cultural heritage. Students and families proudly presented traditional performances, various music, and booth displays, showcasing the rich tapestry of cultures represented within the Dwyer community.
The exhibition offered visitors experiences to explore diverse cultures, traditions, and languages. The interactive exhibits were an opportunity to delve into a realm of cultural exploration and appreciation. Every participant was given a "passport" to collect stamps from each country they visited, granting them entry into an exciting raffle.
Dwyer Principal Dr. Christa Glembocki expressed delight at the inaugural Cultural Festival's success, stating, "The festival exceeded our expectations and showcased the abundance of our school community. It was heartwarming to see students, families, and staff come together to celebrate cultural richness and unity."
Dwyer Jr. Oilers look forward to building upon the success of its inaugural Cultural Festival in the years to come, reaffirming its commitment to promoting inclusivity and celebrating our backgrounds.
